The greater challenge is to discern whether or not your objective is worth pursuing in the first place. This requires wisdom derived from the knowledge of truth. You must first understand to what end your objective will lead, and if that end is desirable, admirable, and worthy.

The search for truth reveals rightness of purpose, and once you have purpose, figuring out direction is the easy part.
